In partnership with the Centre for Environmental Rights, the Endangered Wildlife Trust and a consortium of key stakeholders, this project aims to improve the welfare conditions of wild animals in South Africa. Through a review process, the Wildlife and the Law project has identified the major inadequacies of South Africa’s policy and regulatory environment regarding wildlife use and is working to enhance responsible decision-making through the development and implementation of appropriate legislation.
